WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SHOWER FILTER AND WATER SOFTENER?
Water softeners are generally large and expensive systems that are designed to reduce limescale throughout your entire home, while our Luscentra Shower Filter is specifically designed to reduce iron, copper, lead, limescale, odour and chlorine in your shower water.
HOW DOES THE MICROFIBER CLOTH FILTER WORK?
The microfiber cloth filter works by capturing small particle contaminants like rust, dirt, lime scale, and other heavy metals and impurities in the water as it passes through the shower head.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO REPLACE MY MICROFIBER CLOTH FILTER?
To keep your shower water clean and flowing smoothly, we recommend replacing your Luscentra microfiber cloth filter every month. In areas with high levels of lime scale, it's best to replace the filter more frequently to prevent build-up that can block water flow. A simple way to know when it's time for a new filter is to watch for any changes in the water flow. If the water pressure seems reduced or you notice that the filter has changed color drastically, it's time to replace the filter.
HOW DOES THE ANTIBACTERIAL CERAMIC BALL FILTER WORK?
The Luscentra shower head features specially designed ceramic balls with antibacterial properties, effectively impeding bacterial growth and preventing multiplication.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO REPLACE MY ANTIBACTERIAL CERAMIC BALLS?
It is advised to replace your antibacterial ceramic ball filter every 2-3 months. In some areas, where the water quality is particularly bad, you may need to replace them more often.

WHAT IS RESIDUAL CHLORINE?
In the process of purifying tap water and providing it for households through pipelines, less than 2.0ppm of chlorine (following the standard of World Health Organization) is added to the water to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases. This chlorine remains in the tap water of all households and it is called residual chlorine. Chlorine can lead to dry and itchy skin, and excessive amounts can cause eczema and atopic dermatitis. It can also worsen the symptoms of asthma, allergic reactions and accelerate your skin’s aging process.
HOW CAN THE VITAMIN C CAPSULE REMOVE CHLORINE FROM MY SHOWER?
When the water passes through the Vitamin C capsule in the Luscentra shower head, the Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) neutralizes up to 99% of chlorine in the water. This is because Vitamin C has a chemical structure that reacts with chlorine, creating a mild hydrochloric acid. This results in cleaner, gentler water that is better for the health and appearance of your hair and skin.
HAS VITAMIN C BEEN SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN TO SAFELY ELIMINATE CHLORINE?

HOW LONG DO VITAMIN C CAPSULES LAST?
In the handheld model, Luscentra Vitamin C capsules typically last for about a month, and up to three months in wall-mounted shower heads, depending on usage. Keep in mind that if you prefer to shower with very hot water, the filter may exhaust more quickly. To ensure a longer lifespan, you can tighten the screw on the wall mount capsule or make a smaller pin hole in the handheld model.
